1. What we collect
We collect the account information you give us, such as your name, email address, profile details, team memberships, and billing records. We also store the business information, brand assets, products, briefs, messages, files, approvals, and publishing instructions you add to Moteef.
We collect basic technical and usage information needed to operate and protect the service, such as device and browser details, IP address, timestamps, feature activity, diagnostics, and security logs.
2. Google Business Profile data
Moteef accesses Google Business Profile data only after you choose to connect Google and approve thebusiness.manage permission. This lets Moteef read the Business Profile accounts and locations you manage, show those locations inside Moteef, check whether they can receive posts, and publish the updates, offers, events, media, links, and schedules that you approve.
We store Google account and location identifiers, location names, optional store codes and Place IDs, posting eligibility, the location-to-business mappings you choose, and publishing records and results. We also store an encrypted Google refresh token so scheduled posts can run without asking you to sign in every time. Tokens are encrypted at rest and sent over encrypted connections. Moteef never receives or stores your Google password.
We use Google data only to provide or improve the Google Business features visible to you in Moteef. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness. People may read specific Google data for support only after you affirmatively agree to that access. Human access is otherwise limited to necessary security investigations or legal obligations.
This integration connects directly to Google. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes requests, and Convex stores the encrypted token, location mappings and publishing records. Authorized members of a mapped Moteef business can see its linked locations and publishing history according to their roles. The Google Business integration does not send its tokens, account or location records to Outstand, AI providers or advertising analytics. Content you independently add to briefs, messages or AI requests is processed as described below.
Moteef's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, personalize, maintain, and improve Moteef;
- generate and organize the marketing work you request;
- schedule, publish, and report on content you approve;
- manage accounts, teams, plans, credits, billing, and support;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and service failures; and
- meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Storage, security, and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted connections, and encryption for stored Google refresh tokens. No online service can promise absolute security, so we also limit access and monitor the systems that handle your data.
We keep account and business data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Removing a Google location link deletes that mapping from Moteef. The encrypted Google refresh token is shared by the locations linked through that user's Google connection: we delete the stored connection and token when its final location link is removed, including when a business is deleted. A connection still used by another location or business is retained. We also delete a user's stored Google connection and its mappings when their Moteef account is deleted, or handle a verified deletion request through the contact below.
Disconnecting keeps existing publishing history; it does not remove profiles or posts from Google. You can request deletion of stored Google data separately. Revoking access in Google Account permissions prevents further Google API access but does not automatically notify Moteef or delete its stored records. A connection that needs reconnection may retain its encrypted token until you remove its links or request deletion. Some billing, security, backup or legal records may remain for longer where required or reasonably necessary; removal from active storage is not a promise of immediate deletion from every backup.
6. Your choices and rights
You can update much of your information inside Moteef. You can stop Google's access from your Google Account permissions. In Social settings, use Disconnect Google locations or Manage Google to remove location links; removing the final link also deletes the stored connection token. Google's permission is separate and can be revoked in your Google Account. You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information and connected-service credentials. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.
Moteef uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember product settings. Where you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures visits and sign-up button clicks on our public website. We do not send your email address, form answers, or private workspace content to Google Analytics. You can decline or change your choice using Cookie settings on the public website.
7. International processing and children
Moteef and its providers may process data in countries other than your own. We use appropriate safeguards where the law requires them. Moteef is built for businesses and is not directed to children under 18.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Moteef changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use your data.
